Highways

  • Traffic Regulation Order 2245/2/9 became effective on 9/10/20
    and within a few days the speed limits on local roads were changed in accordance with these Dorset Council plans for:
    (a) Cranborne Road
    (b) Burts Hill
    (c) Smugglers Lane, Deans Grove and Long Long Lane
  • Traffic Regulation Order (Draft) for Smugglers Lane, Deans Grove, Burts Hill,
    south-western section of Long Lane and a section of Cranborne Road.

    On 20/08/20 Dorset Council published a Draft TRO setting out its plan to reduce speed limits on the above roads. The link leads to the web page on which details, including maps, can be found. 
    Observations on the proposal (whether in support or against) can be submitted on the Dorset Council website by following through from the above link, or in writing to Traffic Regulation Order Team, (2245/2/9), Dorset Council, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset DT1 1XJ by 11 September 2020. Any objection must specify the grounds on which it is made. Letters will be made available for public inspection.
